I can draw traditional or digital, though for traditional works, I'm not (yet) prepared to handle shipping of physical media, so in either case I'll be transmitting a digital file.
To request a commission send me a note and read over my Terms of Service.
General Information
When you commission me you should read these terms of service. This'll help clarify expectations for both me and you to avoid misunderstandings.
When you have questions, feel free to send me a note.
Payment
I will only start a commission after payment has been received.
I accept payment by PayPal to ditchmill@gmail.com.
Deadlines and wait times
I cannot accommodate strict deadlines on any commission, no matter the price.
For all commissions, please expect a wait time of up to 30 days. I have a variety of other obligations that make me simply unable to guarantee a more rapid turnaround. If the wait time exceeds 30 days, however, I will provide a full refund.
Refunds
If the wait time for a commission exceeds 30 days, I will offer a full refund.
Works In Progress (WIPs)
I'm happy to provide via notes updates on WIPs upon completion of the various stages of a commission, e.g. sketch, lineart, flatcolor, shading, etc. (If, on the other hand, you prefer to avoid "spoilers," that's fine, too. Just let me know in a note. ;)
I will always provide an initial WIP sketch sent through a note to confirm that the work is consistent with your intentions and to get feedback before moving on to further stages of the work.
Dos and don'ts for me
I reserve the right to decline your commission, without giving my reasons (don't worry, this doesn't really happen often!)
I've mostly drawn feminine characters, but I appreciate a challenge and want to grow as an artist. I'm generally willing to draw most anything.
The main thing that I'm not comfortable with is anything that reflects bigotry, etc. If you're not sure, just ask!
If you're not sure about an idea or design, feel free to ask!
I may stream the production of a commission, however, I won't stream it if you ask me not to in advance.
I'm allowed to use the finished artwork in my portfolio and to upload it to my own page.
Dos and don'ts for you
Your willingness to communicate with me will be important! I'll need references - there's no upper limit on references you can provide me. The more reference material I have, the easier will it be for me to complete the work, and the better I'll be able to make something that you can be happy with. It's also helpful to have information about a character's background and personality.
On completion of a commission, you will receive a full HD version of it. It'll include a watermark identifying it as my artwork and this watermark should not be removed. (It'll be displayed in such a way as to be unobtrusive to the image.)
If you post the commission somewhere, please link back to my profile page or to the page where I uploaded the commission.
You are not allowed to use the commission in any commercial way (e.g. for financial gain), such as selling prints, using the artwork in a game, or printing it in an artbook, etc. Of course, you can print it for yourself, but in no way are you allowed to re-sell the artwork.
